Top 5 Reasons to convert your old
VHS tapes to DVD.

1. VHS tapes have a shelf life averaging only 10 years.
DVDs  have an estimated life of 100 years.

2.  Each time it is played, a VHS tape stretches causing a
reduction in quality.  DVDs hold digital information so the
quality of the contents is not reduced with each playing.

3.  VHS tapes are easy to break and are subject to
melting.  DVDs are quite difficult to break and are not in
danger of being baked by the sun while sitting in your car.

4.  VHS tapes are big, bulky and take up a lot of storage
space.  You can hold a spindle of 50 DVDs in the same
amount of space it would take to store about 2 VHS tapes.

5. The information on a DVD is quite transferable and can
be downloaded quickly to your PC, laptop or other
electronic device.  It is easy to share your DVDs with
others and they can be reproduced at lightening speed!
Performing just one of these operations with your VHS
tapes takes a lot of time, money and other resources.

Amy Jo Beard, CEO of BeardedLadyVideo.com has been
working in the field of entertainment her whole life. As a
child, she used to force her family members to act in her
originally written skits and plays. She even worked as a DJ
for several years while attending college. Her professional
video career began 9 years ago when she was hired by a
small company to help shoot and edit weddings.

Although Amy Jo was happy (and busy), being a
stay-at-home mom to her two kids, she was able to
exercise her "creative gene" by working on wedding
videos. She was involved in the production of over 30
weddings and photo montages before hanging it up to
devote her video production efforts solely on the areas
which interested her the most - montages,
documentaries, web video and corporate video.

After Amy Jo received a wealth of referrals from her
wedding and montage clients, she decided to start her
own business calling it "BeardedLadyVideo.com".  This
name was originated while making her very last wedding
video and appears for the first time in the credits in the
very last frame. Since people liked the name and seemed
to remember it with ease, it stuck.
